A dancer for fifty years and an RSCDS member for forty years, I am passionate about the social and health benefits of SCD. I am keen for the RSCDS to have a positive impact and develop a broader base of country dancers in Scotland and internationally.

Jean Martin

Jean has been a committed member of the Society for over 40 years. Her contribution to the Society has been significant and far-reaching; at branch, national, and international levels. She has taught at Summer and Winter Schools as well as day and weekend schools around the world.

Bill Cant

Bill Cant is the Treasurer of the RSCDS and an active member of the Dundee Branch. Bill heads up FGAP and is responsible for looking after the finances of the Society.

I want to collect ideas and connect dancers to promote SCD to young dancers, and keep it alive and kicking. I’m especially interested in supporting family activities and encouraging young dancers to travel.

I started my working career as a bookseller and then as a publishing assistant. I now enjoy my role here in retail and membership services. I manage the RSCDS shop, but also assist the Membership Services Committee and the Editorial team in their various projects. I also process Branch awards and membership renewals.
