The reel thing! A return to indoor dancing in the UK

After more than a year of virtual classes and events, we’re all delighted at the prospect of dancing indoors again. As the RSCDS Branches and Affiliated Groups in the UK begin to reopen for full indoor dancing, we’ll be returning with a spring in our step and catching up with old friends.

Our vision is to promote and develop Scottish Country Dancing and music for the benefit of current and future generations. So the return to full dancing is also a great opportunity to encourage new people to give it a go.

The Back to Dance campaign in Scotland and the UK will promote the “fun, fitness and friendship” aspects of Scottish Country Dancing. This campaign page has helpful advice - whether you are a Branch, a member or someone who has never tried Scottish Country Dancing before. For newcomers, it answers some of the questions you might have. For Branches and Affiliated Groups, there is help on how to spread the word in your local area. We also have advice on what to expect when classes resume.
