Back to dance - get social

Use local social media to spread the word

If your Branch or Affiliated Group has its own social media accounts, use these to get out the message that Scottish Country Dancing is back and to attract new dancers.

Also think about posting an announcement from your Branch or Group on a Facebook local community group or another local platform, such as the neighbourhood website Nextdoor. This should let people know about the fun, fitness and friendship appeal of Scottish Country Dancing and encourage new people to give it a go. Individual members can also post content for their family, friends and local community.

We have created social media cards that you can use on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. We also have suggested wording for your social media posts.

Don’t forget to tell the RSCDS about your plans too. Tell us when you’re going back to dancing indoors and share some of the excitement as your classes and events restart. That way we can also share your news on our digital channels.
