Back to dance - resources for Branches & Groups

Start spreading the news!

RSCDS Branches and Affiliated Groups in the UK are making plans to resume indoor dancing. After a long lockdown, many people in your area will be interested in trying a new activity that is fun, helps them stay fit and enables them to make friends. So we have created some help and advice specifically for the Back to Dance campaign, to let you create awareness in your community. There is also the latest advice on how to restart classes and events safely.

We have:

  • Advice on how to spread the word through local media in your area. This includes tips on how to approach media and a draft press release, which you can adapt with local information, contact and class details and a quote from someone in your branch or group. This can also be used as a story for your branch or group’s own website.
  • Tips on how to use social media to spread the word that Scottish Country Dancing is back and reach out to new people in your community. This includes suggested posts and artwork.
  • Health advice for Branches. Based on the latest guidance in Scotland and the rest of the UK.
